The season of sports days and examinations brings us the final edition of Update for the school year 2008 to 2009. In its new online format, this publication has been combined with Impact, the newsletter of our parents' association, since last October, and I would like to draw readers' attention to the current Impact and its summary of PACT's activities during the year.

I hope readers will find the first online edition of UPDATE as cheerful, amenable, colourful and communicative as the printed editions of the past which it supersedes. Online publication certainly allows this newsletter a better chance of living up to its name, as the information it carries concerning forthcoming attractions, and its varied accounts of events in our community, can be much more easily revised and brought up to date.
